Hong Kong Bobo was/is an improvisational noise-rock band, born out of the isolation and boredom of living in Timmins, Ontario. The recordings were mostly live off the floor, with occasional overdubs or additional sound treatments. The core of the group was Colin James Gibson, Matthew Thompson, and Stephen Weir. They were sometimes joined by additional percussionists and/or noisemakers. These songs were recorded in May of 2002, on a 4-track recorder.
